To get the look of a professionally designed bar incorporate the following into your design. For starters, whether your allocated bar area is big or small, silver trays, tools and accessories are right on the money. The trays can be used to bring the beverages to your guests, or can remain stationary for visual appeal.

Every bar needs a cocktail shaker, ice bucket, tongs, and some swizzle sticks. Place these on one of the silver trays you have set out and then take stock of the additional things you will require by planning ahead. Then the next step is to identify which drinks you plan to serve, and collect the appropriate glasses based on such.

Just before your guests arrive cut up the garnishes that coordinate with the cocktails you have chosen to serve. It is generally a good rule of thumb to stick with a couple of alcohols to keep things simple. Plus, if you stock the bar with multiples of the same bottles it will look ultra chic due to the coordination.
