Most of my friends ask me for tips on how to make their homes more Feng Shui, and most of them seem to be confused in one way or another about what this even means. Why so many people are puzzled comes as no great surprise, as this is not something you can wing, or piece together haphazardly. In general, everyone seems to understand that comfort is involved in this equation. But this does not mean that by placing a great new Sealy Millionaire Ortho mattress, and some Calvin Klein, Egyptian Cotton, 1500 thread count sheets in your bedroom that you have transformed the space.

Granted, it will improve your quality of sleep, but the whole room must be in concert with the Feng Shui design, not just one or two elements. A new mattress and new linens can be a fabulous start, but it is just that a start. Now, let me interject right here that I am not telling you that you need to pull all of the belongings and furnishings you already have out of your home and replace them with all new items. That is missing the point too. It is about balance first and foremost, and in most homes things simply need to be shifted, rearranged, but yes, there are some integral additions that will come into play.

If you have a bedroom that does nothing for your libido, leaves you restless, and groggy then assessing the room is the first step. But, I can tell you without even visiting that in this room you do need a good mattress, and a comfortable (do not read into this as expensive because it need not be) set of sheets. Because even if you create the most relaxing, and balanced space around the bed, if it does not provide you with a delicious nights sleep then proper Feng Shui will not exist.

Moving on from this, a lot of people recognise one or two elements involved in Feng Shui. Either they know which colours work best where, or they recall something about a negative effect brought on by sharp angles and misplaced mirrors. With the magnitude of information available on this subject, the only thing I can attribute not becoming better acquainted before delving into incorporating the ideals of Feng Shui is sheer laziness. Yep, I said it, and believe it. Now, I recognise that to my friends I am a source to be tapped into when it comes to this subject, and I do my best to accommodate their inquiries. But, for those without such a mate, my advice to you is read, read, read up on the subject. Then once you know where you are headed, you can peruse Sealy Mattresses and deliciously high thread count sheets.
